Gun Case Hanging Outside the Interactive 'Trapper's Shack' in the Museum

One of our wonderful volunteer Artisans, Ipie, who is incredibly talented is often working on projects that use vintage HBC blankets as the base fabric.  She’s usually making beautiful mittens or vests, but this winter Ipie has been working away on this magnificent embroidered gun case – and she’s just finished it!

Hand-sewn from a three and a half point, camel-coloured Hudson’s Bay Blanket Ipie has embroidered three intricate floral-pattern panels and incorporated them into this gun case.  You can see the points on the blanket fabric in between the largest and second-largest embroidered panels.

This hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind item is available for sale exclusively in our online store.
